Our All Natural Carpet Cleaning Process

When we arrive we will:

1. Pre-Inspection

Perform a pre-inspection of the Carpet in each room to be cleaned noting stains, odors, soiled areas, or noticeable traffic patterns on your carpets.

2. Small Item Removal

We move smaller items from the room to be cleaned (chairs, small tables, plants – not including large items, such as sofa beds, entertainment centers, pianos, china cabinets, beds, etc.) Please note that we do not typically move the furniture back in place unless requested, as areas need time to dry.

3. Carpet Pre-treatment

Before starting the carpet cleaning process, treat the carpet with all-natural detergent to loosen the carpet fibers and prepare it for extraction.

4. Clean & Rinse

Agitate, Clean, and rinse the entire Carpeted area using hot water extraction.

5. Protector (Optional)

Spray the carpet with our fabulous GREEN Protector and gently work into the fibers.

6. Final Grooming

Perform final cleaning of the carpet upon request (some people prefer the cleaning triangles to remain.)

7. Conduct a Final Inspection

Conduct a final inspection with you to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with our carpet cleaning service.
Our powerful vacuum system removes most of the moisture from your carpets and upholstery immediately; however, they will still be damp and cool to the touch.

Turning on your A/C system, a ceiling fan or just opening a window in each room can significantly help reduce the overall drying time. This is usually around 6 hours but can take up to 12 hours depending on a number of variables. You may walk on your carpets immediately after cleaning; however, you should keep foot traffic to a minimum. Please be careful when walking from a damp carpeted area onto non-carpeted areas to avoid slipping. Please remember to leave the protective pads under the furniture legs for 24 hours to avoid any color transfer. If your carpet is not drying fast enough, please call us within 24 hours so that we may address it immediately.

We pride ourselves on providing 100% customer satisfaction. If for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your cleaning, simply notify us within seven days of the carpet cleaning and we will happily address any issues you may have.

If you’re interested in our residential or commercial all-natural carpet cleaning service you can reach us by phone at (415) 991-0500 or by email. Take a look at our Pricing Page here to get an idea of what to expect when you call us!

Carpets and Cushions Staying Cleaner Longer!
EncapuGuard Green continues to take care of your carpets and upholstery long after we’ve cleaned them. There’s a whole host of protective features packed in, including soil resistance, stain protection, wicking prevention, and residue neutralizing technology. This makes it easier to maintain that clean and fresh look, as well as boosting the overall ‘cleanability’ of your home in the event of a spot or spill that needs attention. It also maintains your carpet and upholstery’s quality over the long term, enhancing wear and tear protection and fighting any browning or yellowing that may gradually occur.

Allergy Relief Treatment

Residual Effects Lasting up to 6 Months
Our Multi-Step Allergy Treatment Process uses a blend of all natural solutions to neutralize allergens. The treatment we apply has residual effects lasting up to 6 months. Even the most sensitive of suffers has tried this treatment and found immediate relief from their symptoms and an improvement in their environment. We have used this treatment on Carpets, Mattresses, Upholstery and more.

For more information, read the brochure below on our process or download it HERE.

Mattresses, Wall to Wall Carpets and Upholstery are all treated differently, but the general process is as follows and is outlined in the brochure.

We first pre-vacuum the surface to be cleaned to ensure that all dry soils are removed.

The fabric is then thoroughly cleaned and deodorized (if required) using the Responsible Care Pre-Spray and Deodorizing agents.
Following cleaning, Allergy Relief Treatment is applied using a fine mist application. The process has residual effects for up to 6 months.

STain Removal

We Prevent Long-Term Stains

We provide prompt and courteous stain removal services to help remove unwanted blemishes from your carpet or furniture. We have the ability to serve residential and commercial clients in Marin County and the surrounding areas with professional stain removal services. In order for us to completely eliminate any stain, however, you must take the proper steps to ensure the salvage-ability of your carpet or upholstery immediately after an accident.

What To Do After A Stain

You can help your carpet or furniture by treating a spot quickly and smartly, but you can also make it worse if you do something wrong. Call Mother Nature’s Carpet Cleaning, but before we get there, follow a few simple rules below.

1. Know and respect the fabric you are treating

Don’t use hot water or too much water on wool. Saturate anything synthetic thoroughly, don’t use water on silk at all, and don’t do anything to viscose.

2. Act fast! When removing accidental spills and spots.

Speed is needed in order to prevent long-term carpet damage and odor. The faster you are able to remove the substance from your carpets, the less time it will have to penetrate into the fibers. This means absorbing as much of the liquid as possible.

3. Never use chemicals to treat the spot.

That means no miracle pet products or stain removers, enzymes, peroxide, laundry detergent, OxiClean, bleach – even color safe are all bad and can set a stain permanently if not used properly. Even on a small area. Chemicals that are not properly rinsed can damage dyes or fibers or interact with the chemicals your professional cleaner will use later.

What We Suggest
Here we list out for you the proper steps to be taken following a spill or stain. If these steps are followed promptly after a stain it can dramatically reduce or even eliminate the long term effect. However, we are here to help in the case that the stain is more severe and in need of professional attention.

Work In A Tapping Motion
Use a white cloth to absorb as much residue as possible. Do Not vigorously scrub the carpet – this can damage the carpet, make the stain larger and allow it to absorb even deeper into the fibers.

Color Fading
Be sure to test this step for color fading in an unnoticeable area first. In a spray bottle: mix a tablespoon of distilled white vinegar with one cup cold water and spray directly on the desired area until wet. (See Rule #1 above)

Loosen Dirt
Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to loosen the dirt, then gently dab the spot with a cloth, working from the outside in. Again – do not scrub or work in a circular motion. Tap. Repeat the process if needed.

Moisture Absorption
Once the spot has been absorbed, use a clean cloth, pressing it into the area to absorb any remaining moisture.

If the stain or spot remains and you are unable to get it out, call Mother Nature’s Cleaning (415) 991-0500 – we will come out as soon as possible to prevent long-term damage. You can also contact us via email and we will be more than happy to assist you!
